I am a practising sonographer who is passionate about ultrasound and improving practice. I have over a decade of experience across a range of specialties, including general abdominal, gynaecology, obstetric, and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
I have worked across a range of NHS services (both primary and secondary care) as well as the independent sector, with experience in service improvement and clinical audit. More recently, much of my clinical work has been within community settings, where I have seen first-hand the challenges teams face in accessing relevant, practical CPD.
Alongside clinical work, I have previously delivered teaching at a local university and supported the training and development of a number of students and newly qualified sonographers. This has led to my interest in education and developing the skills of others.
Why I started Ultrasound CPD
Over the years, I found that CPD was often difficult to access—study days were expensive, far away, not at the right level, or only partly relevant. Like many sonographers, I relied heavily on online resources in my daily practice and recognised the need for a more streamlined option.
My aim is to deliver CPD that can be applied directly to daily practice. I want to help raise the standards across all settings, ultimately leading to the delivery of better patient care.
